F.A.Q.'s
How Long is an Online Support Session?
Online sessions start at two hours. This gives us enough time to connect, work on something practical and wrap up without rushing. Longer sessions can be scheduled when they suit the goal or outcome—for example, a body doubling session may need four hours. We are flexible and can vary the session length based on the participant’s needs.
What happens in the first session?
It's good to start by getting to know you a little - and also to get to know what matters to you - we talk about your goals and choose one useful place to start. There is no expectation that everything needs to be worked out straight away.
Can Online Support work alongside local supports?
Yes. With the participant’s consent, Online Support can sit alongside family, a Support Coordinator and local support workers. We can agree on priorities and share relevant progress so everyone stays connected to the same goals.
Can a Parent/Advocate or Support Coordinator make the enquiry?
Yes. An enquiry can be started by the participant, a parent or family member, or a Support Coordinator. The participant’s voice, preferences and consent remain central to the process.
Can NDIS Funding be used?
It may be possible when the support fits the participant’s goals, plan, available funding and the way the support is delivered. We will talk through the proposed support before services begin, but funding is never assumed or guaranteed.
Is Online Support Counselling or Therapy?
No. This is warm, practical disability support focused on everyday life, capacity building and meaningful goals. It is not counselling, clinical treatment or crisis support.
